Photo is our intake at #4 ITW Paignton, Devon in May, 1943. I am back row 2nd from the left. Of the chaps in the picture 26 went to Canada, 15 to South Africa, 2 to Pensecola,USA, 1 to Rhodesia and 2 stayed in Britain. I remember the Luftwaffe attacked the area and dropped a bomb in one of the Torquay hotels where the RAF were billeted. The bomb fell through 3 or 4 floors, hit the bottom floor, went horizontal and then exploded. I think 2 cadets were killed. Not sure. <b>Photo & Text Courtesy of Matt Kennedy</b>
